My name is Oliver Percy-Smith. I’m 22 years old. I am from a suburb north of Copenhagen, Denmark. I am the only “international” player at SSoG. I grew up with my family consisting of a Danish mother, an English father, an older brother and a younger sister. I’m ambitious, optimistic and thoughtful. My biggest strength as a golf player is, that I’m a good “all-rounder”. I don’t have any particular weakness which gives me a fairly high bottom level. I have a good understanding of the game and I’m often able to make a good score without playing my best.
I was introduced to golf in 2000 as a 7 year old. Took me a while to really like the game, but since 2008 when I got into the elite group in my home club, golf has been the main core of my Life. I have many very good golf memories; all of my three HIO’s, shooting under par for the first time, my two individual victories. But my absolute best memory came recently when I won the Danish Team Championship for the first time in my home clubs’ history. Being part of this was so awesome and something I will never forget.
School of Golf is a fantastic opportunity to combine elite sports with a bachelor degree from Högskolan i Halmstad. We have ideal training facilities and a very proficient trainer team, who can help us with everything on and of the golf course. School of Golf is ideal for me to take my golf to the next level, while studying.
